I know you have to take a candeling license if it is not on your property but I am only wanting to sell a small inventory of eggs from a flock of only eighteen chickens at the local farmer's market, nothing more. Plus I cannot find much information on this candeling class junk online. All I need is some specific information on what, when, and where these candeling courses are and if there are any alternative courses I can take on the internet so I don't have to travel all the way to a different county just to get certified to sell chicken eggs. Can somebody please help me here?

Here is a link to the Dept of Ag, you can go from there. The class and test are free as far as I know.http://agr.georgia.gov/egg-candling-class.aspx

If there is an alternative I am not familiar with it. Ignore the rude commenter before me,who probably wouldn't know the difference between that commercially produced crap that they sell as an egg at the grocery store and what a real farmer can produce. A flock of 18 is a sizable accomplishment and quite a job, and your efforts are valuable to your local economy, health and environment~ not to mention it's just a smart move to put the homestead to work for you. :)

I read an article a couple years ago saying that womens eggs go for a lot more compared to a mans sperm. I mean alot something about thousands of dollars reason being because of such high demand and low supply. That however was a couple years ago. As for now im not sure but they should still pay a couple of hundred at least. The main reason why the monetary value is so high is due to emotional issues among women. Not many women like the fact that their child is being born and raised by another women. Its like adoption in a way. Which is unethical in most relgions and families
